Welcome to Limp Wrist, an e-zine with a queer sensibility.
Never fear heterosexuals!  At
LW, we don’t discriminate
hetero vs. homo; we discriminate fagulous (AKA fabulous)
vs. lousy.

When I started out on the
Limp Wrist adventure, I was Dorothy
without a Toto (with the fabulous ruby slippers of course).  As I
started to brainstorm and flush out ideas, I picked up
Montgomery Maxton (AKA my scarecrow).  Montgomery
graciously offered his services to be the web guru for
LW as well
as the artistic editor.  Next, we picked up Charles Jensen (AKA our
adorable cowardly lion), who is our Blurb editor.  Well, we are one
short of a full Wizard of Oz crew, but I am sure at some point on our journey we’ll find our tin man or woman who’ll want to join the
LW family to handle fiction submissions.

This year we will be working to obtain non-profit status for
LW.  One of your goals is to offer a creative writing scholarship for gay high school seniors.  If you are interested in helping LW obtain non-profit status, send me an email!

We plan to offer a yearly chapbook competition open.  We’ll have more information available on the first annual
LW chapbook competition toward the end of the year.  Yes, the chapbook is open to EVERYONE, well, as long as the entry fee is sent with the submission.

I need to give a hearty thank you to
Outwrite Books for hosting the Limp Wrist launch party; visit Outwrite's website to find what your bookshelf is missing.  The launch wouldn't have been delicious without Jenny Allen's donation of Jenny J's Cheese Dip and baked goods from Cousins Baked Goods.  Feel free to contact Cousins Baked Goods at cousinsbakedgoods12 {at} yahoo {dot}com. Last but certainly not least, I need to thank Montgomery Maxton for his dedication and hard work in developing the LW site and first issue.  Without Montgomery my LW dream would not be coming true.  Contact Montgomery if you need a website designed.  I'm sure he'll have no problem providing you with his rates, and I can vouch that he is a pleasure a to work with!

I suppose I should wrap this up…..I am thrilled to have the debut issue of
LW feature work from talented and distinguished poets whose work I admire like Denise Duhamel (pinch me, am I dreaming), Beth Gylys, Dara Wier, David Trinidad, and Cecilia Woloch.  And the first issue contains an interview with the talented and fierce Laure-Anne Bosselaar.

Again, welcome to
Limp Wrist.  We appreciate your interest in LW more than you can know.
